"Jasmin St. Claire: In or Out?"
Contacted about her recent re-signing with Metro Home Video, Jasmin St.
Claire reports in that the deal that she has negotiated with the video
distributor is an open-ended contract, with no defined end date.
Jasmin's first film for Metro, a "big budget" shoot was scheduled for earlier this month but had to be re-scheduled to a later date due to a scheduling conflict.
According to Jasmin, the decision to return to Metro was an easy one, based mostly on the fact that she had started there and rose to prominence in the Metro-released "World's Biggest Gangbang Part 2" wherein Jasmin secured the
record from Annabel Chong.
When "Gangbang" producer John Bone left Metro to found his "Cream
Entertainment", Jasmin followed. Shortly thereafter, the exotic beauty broke off from John and jumped over to Extreme Associates under the leadership of EA owner Rob Black.
Earlier this year, Jasmin severed ties with Rob and exited her exclusive contract. "The Rob Black deal was shit," Jasmin said in a phone interview.
"People in the biz are a bunch of backstabbing assholes," said Jasmin,
adding, "I like doing movies, I just hate the business."
When asked about the rumors that she was in talks with one of the major
wrestling organizations, Jasmin informed us that she was still in talks, but would not specify which of the groups she was talking with. When not filming or touring the dance circuit, Jasmin routinely works out daily and is attending kickboxing classes and professional wrestling training.
Regarding the recent news that Jasmin's ex-boyfriend Earl Slate was being prosecuted by his recent wife/girlfriend Kianna Bradley on charges that Slate physically abused Kianna, Jasmin offered up her opinion of the sordid affair: "I don't care one bit. They deserve each other," Jasmin says. "Early on I warned Kianna about him (Slate) but she chose to ignore it."
Jasmin claims that prior to Slate's trial, Kianna called her to ask her to testify against Slate. To which Jasmin declined. "I don't want to have anything to do with either of them," said Jasmin.
"Erotica L.A. Returns!"
This June sees the return of the popular Erotica L.A. show to the Los Angeles
Convention Center in Downtown L.A. The show is set to run June 2nd through the 4th and promoter Ron Miller promises that this year's show will top previous years. Following legal battles with the convention center, this year's gathering will allow fans and attendees to bring cameras into the venue.
Standing apart from such adult industry conventions as the Consumer
Electronics Show, The Video Software Dealers Association convention, and the
East Coast Video Show, Erotica L.A. is primarily focused towards the general
public and the fans that want to meet their favorite porn stars in person.
Promoter Miller says that he is expecting many of the companies from previous
shows to return and a few of the industry heavyweights who had previouslly
not attended, to have booths this year. Companies announced so far include:
Wicked Pictures, Vivid Video, VCA Pictures, Metro Home Video, Extreme Video,
Wildlife, Passion Pictures, New Sensations, and Astral Ocean, among others.
"Valentine: Porn Acting is Still Acting"
Porn starlet and documentary subject Stacey Valentine, while in Cannes to promote her biographical "The Girl Next Door" movie, was questioned by a member of the international press about "acting" in adult movies versus mainstream non-pornographic movies.
Stacey responded, "I challenge any mainstream actor or actress to take off their clothes and have sex in front of people and tell me that's not acting."
While there, Stacey was given an award naming her the Best American Actress at the Hot D'Or, a porno film festival not unlike the Cannes event, wherein the focus is on porn movies on the international level.
"Tiffany Mynx 'Toe Story'"
Tiffany Mynx, the one time contract girl for Elegant Angel and Extreme
Associates, has re-surfaced at Zane Entertainment with her latest title "A Toe Story".
A press release for the upcoming video announces:
"Tiffany Mynx...has returned as the PAGAN GODDESS of ANAL SEX!! Watch for
her new movie, A Toe Story."
