| Before the summer ends, I better get my book and movie recommend lists in. I honestly wanted to get this to you two months ago so you would all know what to spend your time reading and watching this summer. (You honestly didn't think I spent all of my time watching porn did you?) Oh well, as my tenth grade Spanish teach Ms. Gallindo (God rest her soul) would say 'Mejor tarde que nunca.'
Summer reading do's- Stephen King's 'Bag of Bones' and 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon'. Reading don'ts only one and it's a big one. Thomas Harris' 'Hannibal.' Who would have thought a writer this good could write something so horrid
At the cinema this summer, after you have already seen 'Phantom Menace' do not miss 'South Park', 'Summer of Sam', 'American Pie', 'Blair Witch Project' and 'Drop Dead Gorgeous.'
Kindly avoid 'Austin Powers' 'The Haunting' and 'Inspector Gadget.'
AVN threw their first adult Expo as part of VSDA in Los Angles this month. The who's who in porn were all in attendance (And yes, they even let me in.). Be sure and catch my full report for more news and photos.
Serenity just recently shot her very first AVN cover shot. After seven years in the business, they are finally going to put her on the cover as part of a story on contract girls. This is so long overdue, one has to wonder what finally convinced them to make the move. It could be her impressive body of work. Or just her impressive body.
It could also be her increasing mainstream exposure. The E Channel and Comedy Central were both blessed with the blonde one's presence this summer. Fans of the Man Show have been delighted by her household tips from a pornstar segments. On the other hand, it could be the mention I made in the Pipeline a few months back about AVN's obvious oversight that has caused them to make her a cover girl. Yes, readers, I think they're reading.
Oh what the hell, it's been a while since I've given myself any credit, so I might as well share with you my milestone. This past month, Rog Reviews put up review number 700. That's right, I have now joined the ranks of the immortals. Ruth, Aaron and now Rog. Sometime in August, the Babe will fall and 755 should come in October, right around my 32nd birthday. Eat your heart out Hank.
Solveigh's second video, Solveigh.s Way Two will hit the shelves very soon. Legends Sean Michaels and Dominique Simone will be joining Pebbles, Summer Breeze, Alex Sanders and of course, Solveigh herself.
It's a damn good thing I have been talking Stryc-9 up so hard for all of you.
The unbearable sexy performer has changed her name again. She is now performing under the name Cherry Mirage. Counting various of Stryc-9, this is at least her fourth name in a little over a year. Why not just change it to Sybil and get it over with sweetheart?
Xplor Media's new 'Sex For Life Too" is getting a lot of ink of late. This may have to do with the rather amusing list of comparisons between the unique porn flick and the mainstream mega-hit 'Titanic.'
While I haven't seen SFLT yet, look for a review of it this month. If nothing else, it's already succeed in being a much talked about piece of porn/art. (The Blair Smut project perhaps?)
Playboy s currently airing a segment with Zane director Matt Zane.
The Sexcetera crew joined Zane for a day. This is just the latest in a string of features people have done on the young film maker. Matt Zane, media darling? Just so long as Kid Vegas isn't next.
Speaking of kids too annoying to survive, rap/rock/poser Kid Rock is going to be a dad. I know, scary enough thought, but the sad part is that he is taking Midori away from porn fans everywhere.
Loss to smut aside. It's good to see Midori happy. While no official retirement has been announced, I'll be safe and wish her well. You will be missed.
Is it me, or is there a porn star on Howard Stern at least once a week.
Leading the never end list of X star guests this month was Kendra Jade, who announced, among other things that she will be taking a turn at the Bunny Ranch in Nevada. Also from Stern, did anyone catch Houston? Does she expect anyone to believe she's twenty-eight? Sure you are, and Rob Black is a choir-boy, Ru Paul is a woman and Britney Spears just went through a growth spurt.
Speaking of Kendra, she graces the cover of the trail issue of XXXGen magazine. With the same new do she sported at the AVN Expo, Kendra looks truly stunning. Now, if I can just get a hold of some new videos to check her out in action.
Speaking of new looks, or not so new looks, Internet surfers got their first, horrifying look at Rog this month when Luke Ford posted a picture from the AVN Expo.
It's not actually the first net photo, but it is the most clear. Now please people, don't blame me for the horrible nightmares my grille may cause. Luke did it, blame him. You can blame me for the shot I have included with my ANV Expo piece, but to show you how much I really care about my readers, I made the photo not quite so hideous by including the lovely Serenity in my shot.
From the damn my day job files, I had to miss a rather steamy event this month. Jill Kelly, shooting the next installment of her Perfect Pink series was joined by twenty five of the hottest women on the planet. Among them, Kim Chambers, Asia Carrera, Coral Sands, Bonita Saint and a whole mess of other hotties. I would have been there to give you the blow by blow as this collection of fine female flesh gave it Jill with fingers, tongues and toys, but no. I had to be at work and miss the all-girl gang bang. Oh well, maybe next time. I did get a confirmation on an interview with Ms. Kelly. Stay tuned for that one.
Finally dear readers, the long awaited Rog Top Twenty list is out. Just like last year, to make the list, a performer must be currently working, or at least have new movies coming out at present. (That is called the Kaitlyn Ashley rule, giving other women a chance.) I am sure I will anger a number of people by leaving some off the list, as always, write me and I will have to fix the oversight.
I hope you enjoy the list as much as I enjoy the work of these fine women. (Note- Ginger Lynn is going to be a top five the second her movie hits the shelves, but technically, she is not back on the shelves yet.)
