Where Else But Mexico...
A Mexican artist was recently kidnapped and held for four days in Mexico City. The object of the abduction? Niceforo Urbieta was not held for ransom of for political reasons, it turns out, but to paint a portrait.
Through a keyhole, Urbieta was shown a wealthy Mexican woman, who posed in the nude. Over the space of his four-day confinement, he was forced to paint her portrait. The woman, who hasn’t been identified, is described by the artist as having been quite beautiful with long, flowing black hair.
