In Utah, a man who posed as a woman during the course of a 3 1/2-year marriage was sentenced to nine months in jail after pleading guilty to communications fraud and forgery.
Feliz Urioste, 34, was wed to Bruce Jensen in 1991 when he claimed to be pregnant with twins. Urioste, who went by the name Leasa, later told Jensen the twins were stillborn.
Urioste was arrested in Las Vegas in July after using a credit card issued to “Leasa” and her “husband” to run up a whopping $50,000 bill. After his arrest, police revealed Urioste’s gender to Jensen, whom authorities describe as “naive.” Jensen is reportedly seeking an annulment.
