Anti-impotence drug Viagra varies in cost from country to country, and in some places, where it isn’t approved for retail distribution, can fetch incredible prices — up to a reported $200 a pop on the Russian black market, threreby driving the cost of driving it up.
In Venezuela, a shipment of the pills was stolen from the port of La Guaira, probably for distribution on that country’s illicit retail avenues and most likely at a price nearly double that of its American $10 per pill price tag. Police are reportedly looking for a band of hardened criminals.
