Brothel to operate in exchange for sex...
During his tenure as mayor of New York City, Rudolph Giuliani has made chasing vendors of adult wares from their traditional business locations in Times Square something of a personal crusade. The police officers responsible for enforcing the mayor’s high-profile morality campaign have most often been the men and women of the NYPD’s Midtown South precinct. So it must have come as a nasty shock for the mayor to have to admit this summer that at least 20 officers and sergeants from his most active detachment of sex police had been allowing a floating massage parlor and brothel to operate on their beat in exchange for sex for as long as 15 years.
The New York Times reports that the cops visited the brothel so often, and were such high-profile customers, that the establishment’s madam was forced to set up a private apartment at which the boys in blue could frolic with her girls away from the gaze of her other, more skittish clientele.
