Roger T. Pipe So we are doing this interview for the internet. So are you a computer geek?
Gina Ryder I'm not. I try to understand it, and most of the stuff is common sense.
Roger T. Pipe But you got a computer, right.
Gina Ryder I got a computer and I'm like, whatever. As long as I don't break it up, I'm OK.
Roger T. Pipe How often do you go on there or is it a something for you to stick posted notes and things.
Gina Ryder No, I love it. I answer all of my fan mail and stuff. I wish I could be able to do one thing, like one response, and then send it out to everybody. I don't know how to do that yet. So I manually do all of them.
Roger T. Pipe Oh, so since your not proficient at working the computer, you are honest and answer all of your email, only because you don't know how to cheat it.
Gina Ryder I don't know how to cheat it.
Roger T. Pipe (Laughing) But once she does. (Shaking a finger at the camera)
Gina Ryder Nah, but I totally love talking to my fans. It so great because they are all really cool, and you response to them and they all love it. It only takes two to three minutes to do. It's not a big deal.
Roger T. Pipe What sorts of things to they write you about?
Gina Ryder You know, everybody's like, just like great. They want to know my fan club address and information or if this is really me online. A lot of them ask, "I hope this isn't some guy I'm writing to or something" and I say, no it's me.
Roger T. Pipe Do they ask you to prove it?
Gina Ryder No, I haven't been challenged on it yet. I can't write really well. I can't type very well, so my responses are really short because I've been doing a lot of them lately, so I just try to answer everyone questions.
Roger T. Pipe Well I mean, if you develop typing skills, you would have become a secretary. You developed other skills.
Gina Ryder I try though.
Roger T. Pipe But you have developed OTHER FINE skills.
Gina Ryder Yeah.
Roger T. Pipe Anybody in high school can learn to type, there're are only a select few who can do what you do.
Gina Ryder Oh yeah, I love what I do, it's great. I mean, I wouldn't trade it for anything else. People always ask me, "What do you want to do after this" and I say, "What are you talking about." This is what I'm doing, this is my job.
Roger T. Pipe Now, you've been doing movies for like over three years, maybe.
Gina Ryder Yes, I'm right after my two-year mark, I started April of 1998.
Roger T. Pipe I remember when you were first coming into the whole adult movie scene.
Gina Ryder Oh it's great, I love it. I mean, it's a good business. They're great people and I enjoy it. It's fun and I'm gonna do it for as long as I can.
Roger T. Pipe How did you come into the business?
Gina Ryder I used to dance, once I got my boobs as a dancer, boring. It wasn't challenging for me. So I needed to do something that was challenging. Within a week's time, I came out here and called all the big companies. Got in contact with an agent. Took my (AIDS) tests back home in Texas, so that I could be able to start working the day I got back out here.
Roger T. Pipe I was talking to somebody who met you the first time you came into the business. They said that within the first five minutes of meeting you that you would become a big, big porno star. I asked them, how did they know that. Is it some kind of good positive attitude is it the look? He said no, she's a freak.
Gina Ryder (Laughing)
Roger T. Pipe I said to myself, when I meet her I gonna have to ask her to elaborate. I mean this is a person who knows 100's of porno girls yet he singled you out and said you were a freak.
Gina Ryder You know, I love sex. I enjoy it. I think that if you fuck somebody doesn't mean that you have to love them.
Roger T. Pipe Yeah!!! (getting excited)
Gina Ryder If you can get an orgasm out of it, Yahoo!!! I love it, you know. Sex is a great thing. I love men, I love women.
Roger T. Pipe Where you into chicks before you got into the business?
Gina Ryder I was Bi curious. I had never had sex with a woman full on till the business. It's an amazing thing. Women are very beautiful. It's really cool.
Roger T. Pipe So what company are you with now?
Gina Ryder I'm not. I work for different companies. So far, the last few years, I have signed for Adam & Eve at the conventions. They are a wonderful company to work with. I work a lot with Metro. I used to work a lot with Dreamland USA. Just whatever companies out there that are willing to work with me and put out good scenes.
Roger T. Pipe (Feigning disbelief) "Willing to work with you." It's like, "Well, let's give her a break. She's new she's nice. You know, she's just got that look and that body and everything. But we'll cut her some slack." You think they are all bidding to work with you.
Gina Ryder (Laughing) You know, it's really good to work for the same group of people. You work with the same crew the same camera people and you kind of get used to it. No worries. You know how everybody works, they know how you work, and I don't like to act, I like to be as real as can be. It's good when you work with the same type of people in the same environment.
Roger T. Pipe Now like, in terms of advice to girls coming into the business. Good idea or bad idea to date guys who own the video companies.
Gina Ryder (Putting her head down in shame and laughing) I know where that one came from. Why not. If the sex is good, go for it.
Roger T. Pipe (Laughing) You're too cool, I like you. I like you a lot. You guys have to check her out. Give us a couple of titles of your movies.
