Roger T. Pipe We did an interview last year just a few feet from where we are standing now, but you weren’t Brandon then.
Brandon Iron I was my alter ego, Alek James Hydell, a loudmouthed, brutish short man with a chip on his shoulder. Since then I have changed into a loudmouth, brutish short man who got paid some money and is not working for Extreme any more. I’m working for a quality company, West Coast Productions. They treat me right and we put out a series called Rampage that will win an award in 2003.
Roger T. Pipe Is that the only series you are working on?
Brandon Iron No, I do Try A Teen for Legend that won a consumers choice award from Adult Stars Magazine. Mark Wood and I will get that award today and I will stumble through a very awkward acceptance speech.
Roger T. Pipe How many Rampage movies are out?
Brandon Iron Number four was just finished with Belladonna in the lead scene. She just gets punished in her butt. She is hands down the most energetic, dynamic performer in the business and only myself and a few hundred people know it. She is incredible.
Roger T. Pipe Before you and Michael Stefano came on board, West Coast was known primarily as a black or black on white company. Did you have concerns that maybe their audience wasn’t ready for a couple of white dudes?
Brandon Iron I wouldn’t say I was concerned. I believe in the power of diversity. That company is growing by leaps and bounds. They will surpass a number of companies in no time. They do things the right way and treat Michael and I very generously. Please emphasize the very in ‘very generously.’ They pay people what they want, look at the long term relationship and don’t try to fuck you over for a hundred dollars. I’ve had that experience and it’s ridiculous. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry and to get fucked over for a hundred bucks is an outrage.
Roger T. Pipe Are you still performing in other people’s movies as well?
Brandon Iron I stumble through movies from other people. Joey Silvera has more confidence in me than anyone else, myself included. I love working for Evil Angel and worked this year for Rocco in one movie as well as several times for John Stagliano.
Roger T. Pipe It sounds like you’re pretty busy with the West Coast movies and your teen line.
Brandon Iron We shoot fifteen scenes a month and I do some editing on the site. I work for Evil Angel in the DVD department part time. I am going to porno school with Evil Angel. I get to chapter DVDs by the best directors in the business and I’m learning by osmosis.
Roger T. Pipe Are you working on bringing Slap Happy back?
Brandon Iron Slap Happy is dead. I had a good time. I did it to the best of my ability, but it has had its time and we’ll leave it at that.
Roger T. Pipe Was that your idea?
Brandon Iron I financed it with my own money and shopped it around to thirty five companies. Thirty four of them rejected it. Rob Black had the guts and foresight to take a chance on a new hungry guy who wanted to put out a rough product. He did very well with it and I wish I could have benefited as well.
Roger T. Pipe There is some of the rough stuff in Rampage, it’s a very aggressive series.
Brandon Iron It is, but one thing I have learned in the past for years is not to force any girl to take a scene where she doesn’t want to go. If she initiates it or we talk about it ahead of time, I have no problem taking it wherever she wants to go. I’m a better performer now and have learned how to read them better, not piss them off and get the most from them. You would be surprised by how many of them will elevate things as high as you want to go. As long as you establish a trust with them, things will be fine.
Roger T. Pipe Some of the girls in Slap Happy were fine with it and wanted to do it again.
Brandon Iron I swear to you, I am holding my hand above my heart. It wasn’t as brutal as some people made it out to be. My harshest critics were people who never even watched the movies. Fuck them all. I will say it again, fuck them all. No one went to the hospital, no one complained.
Roger T. Pipe That’s not exactly true.
Brandon Iron OK, yeah, some did. Anything new and cutting edge will piss off people. I want to get your attention. I want to drag you around by the nose. I want you to notice who Brandon Iron is. That’s what I hope to do with Rampage.
Roger T. Pipe Is there anyone you have seen here that you would like to get in a Rampage scene?
Brandon Iron That girl right over there and if not her, that one over there.

Brandon Iron Like we were talking about earlier, last night I shot an eighteen year old named Peaches. It was her first scene ever. She is four feet six inches of all woman and weight ninety pounds. For people who don’t know, the only reason he can’t work for Extreme any more is because Rob Black banned him and me for leaving the company. I hate petty bullshit like that. Mark and I own Ironwood productions and we put out three titles a month on time, under budget, we’ve never bounced a check to anyone and we no one has ever had to wait to get paid.
