I went to see Jim South with the intention of doing mags, but he liked my look and before I knew it, I was invited to do a movie with Alex Sanders. I decided to give it a try and found that I liked it better than mags.

Yes. My mother knows and now she can't watch Spice or Playboy any more.

The biz has been very good to me, it was a very positive experience for me on a sexual level I was able to live out many of my fantasies and make some good money. And the bonus was I met Greg! I do believe that some of the people are not right for this biz though because they are too young or they take this "star" thing too seriously, or they don't plan for when they won't be able to do this anymore.If a performer has a good level head this can be a very positive experience.

Yes, it's quite flattering. Due to the hard edged roles I usually play they expect to see me like that. They are pleasantly suprised to find me happy and very communicative.

While I was on the road in April and May 3 people in the industry tested positive for HIV. One was someone that I asked to work with on Thunder-Pussy, but they were not avalible that day.

That has to be a little scary.

Tell me about it. Thank god for looking out for me. I ended up working with Tice that day. I took some time and though about the seriousness of what was happening. Even if I did all my scenes with a condom there would still be a risk. There would still be oral sex, and you can get HIV from oral even with a girl. I asked myself is it worth it? At this point in my life, it's just too big a risk for me to take. I have a lot to be happy about and live for, and I want to be around for a lot of years to enjoy what I have.

There has been a move towards more condoms, even mandatory condoms in adult films.

If the fans really care about the performers they will support our choice to live by only buying tapes that practice safe sex. Ask your self is the fantsay of seeing non condom scenes worth the performers dying?

It was bound to happen with all of the very unsafe sex activity (anal, fletching, facial pop shots). The sad part is we don't get control of it the health department will shut us down and adult will go under ground. The results will make it taboo again to watch porno...

Do you think the industry is doing enough to protect and educate talent?
Julie Rage
No, this is not the first or second time HIV has struck. The companies and performers say we are going condom only for a week or two, there it's back to business as usual until HIV strikes again. If the performers would stick together and make a stand to practice only safe sex, things might improve but they won't because this person or that person is offered x amount to do a scene without a condom.
